Author I don’t know what was in the recycling bin, but there is something wrong with the trash.
This prop needed a fairly major repair job from last year. Hope it scares the ToT’s once again this year.

Happy Halfoween
May 1st – HALFWAY (half a year!) from one Halloween to the next.
It also known as Walpurgis Night.
Today is April 30th, the eve of May. Also called Halfoween, as the date marks the mid-point between Halloweens.
No need to wait another 6 month to celebrate.
“Celebrated in northern Europe and Scandinavia, the “Walpurgisnacht” tradition hoped to ensure fertility for crops and livestock. The rituals are often marked with feasting, singing, dancing, and bonfires. All the noise and fires are meant to keep the spirits at bay. You see, this is the evening when witches and their cohorts gather to revel one last time, before the warmth of Spring takes hold.”
Because Walpurgis Night is supposedly a time when the barrier between our world and the supernatural world is more easily crossed, it’s featured quite a bit in popular culture.

Repairs
Super Storm Sandy damaged many props last October. One of them was the Wall Crawling Demon. Here he is all fixed up again. You can’t really see it, but his skin has a new texture to it (as part of the repair). There are several more props to repair/renew over the next few months.
